The intention for this session was to celebrate a birthday.

A new year, a new season of being. Celebrating the knowing and grounding of self that only comes with time. The ocean has a way of captivating you— of pulling you in and centering you. It can take you far away and bring you back with the same wave. Jess and I have been friends for a few years and seen each other through wild seasons of transformation and searching. I have watched her test and try who she wants to become. Watched her question and search with gentle ambition what life has for her.

She is strength and soft waves, the smell of espresso early in the morning, divine feminine with dirty feet. She is ever-expanding like the sea, always growing and returning to herself without fear.

Here’s to another year for this wild woman.
