when i photograph you, for a few sweet moments i get to be a journalist simply observing. whether we have a entire day for a wedding, or just a few hours for a session, my job is to see you.

to see things you may not even see. to observe the details and the connections—the textures of your life.

and your job is just to be. to run and play, to cry, to have quiet whispered conversations. to do things you love to do with people you love to be with.

my vision

i love the act of taking photos. i love the slow way of seeing and romanticizing your life.

that’s why my favorite sessions are ones with room to breathe. i don’t want us to feel rush or stressed. your session should give us enough time to observe and get inspired.

my hope is that you shut off your brain and get to feel & have fun. i will prompt & pose & play around to capture you raw & beautiful & care-free.

and when we’re done we’ll have these gorgeous, life-filled moments frozen in time.

the process

THE BEST DAY

we create magic and take photos that write your story!

  • You’ll get sneak peeks within 7 days of our session.

    The rest of your gallery is guaranteed to be delivered within 3 months (at the longest). This typically only happens during busy season.

    If something comes up on my end to change the delivery timeline—I will communicate with you as soon as I can!

  • I LOVE to travel. Everywhere, often. It’s kind of what got me into this in the first place.

    While I do charge for sessions over a 30 mile radius from my home town, I am so, so happy to travel for you :)

    I do have a travel credit for weddings that require travel. This means that I take up to a certain amount of the travel fees out of the package total. Contact me for details!

    If you’re planning something at one of the locations on my bucket list I’ll waive the package costs completely and shoot your wedding or session for just the cost of travel!

  • Yes and amen. I am actually so weird when I get my photo taken, and hate the super staged photo look.

    I’m constantly working on becoming a better observer than I am a “poser.” I lean heavily on prompts that lend to me documenting you naturally rather than depending on us all to be staged models, deep exhale :)

  • Heck yes.

    I offer 35mm black and white and color film as an add-on to any session or wedding. My go-to film stocks are portra 400, cinestill 800T, and sometimes ektachrome 100 for some funky feels.

    I just bought a Super 8 and may be lookin’ at adding Super 8 film as a package or add-on.

  • No, I don’t send RAW images.

  • I edit all the photos that I love.

    Typically for a 60-90 minute portrait session you can expect somewhere between 75-300 and for a wedding you can expect 750- 1000. A mini-session may have anywhere from 15-50 images.

    But I don’t promise a photo count, I promise real moments, I promise my best and I promise that I treat each photo as an artistic expression of your beautiful life.
